\Got a Willans T22 that is like new coz it is hanging in garage and has done foe 10 years or more soo if it was used from now that could be 2-0 or more . My buddie has one that is 20 + years . Bit frayed here and there but keeps his arse aloft !

nope, bet you a pint its under 10 years:001_smile:

I meant in reality rather than from a HS recommendation.

By that I mean the harness would still be fit to use long after it should be retired according to guidelines etc.

Although I do agree if you get 5 years out of a harness then it's probably time to treat yourself a new one.:thumbup1: unless your a stingy git like me.:blushing:

If yo want a harness that lasts forever buy a Weaver or a Willans.

If you want a harness that works well for you you'll have need to fanny about at the Arbshow and try some on.

The Petzl is too flimsy for anyone over 10 stone IMO. The Skylotec is a pain to get in as the leg loops don't open and the hems come away on the leg loops. The Komet is very well made and long lasting. The Weaver is like bondage and can cut your balls off.

I'm 6ft and 13st and I wear a Skylotec. I love it even for its faults.
