I don't know how high to go. Iv asked why it's 2012 and unused seems legitimate but for that sort of money I could get a 550xp brand new with warranty and a bar and chain lol

Is the autotune really that bad?

I don't have a 550 but I do have a 560 . Had a few snags in the first couple of weeks but all were sorted under warranty . This was an one of the first , a 2011 saw . I had it fettled by petemate ( member on here who does stuff like spud ) It runs an 18" .325 f/ch driven by an 8 pin . No problems since .

Handling and power wise, there's no comparison between the 346 and the 550, the 550 is in a different league.

I've had my 550 for 2 and a bit years now and so far it's been faultless, though it's not a saw I use every day.

As good to use as the autotune saws are, I'm not entirely sure they're going to have the longevity of the older saws though - a bit like modern cars.
