WANTED: Pickup Northern England

Hi,

 

I'm looking for a cheapish pickup, anything up to £2000. Any make/model considered. Not looking for anything fancy, just something to put me on for a while. I'm based in Cumbria but would be willing to travel to collect. Anyone have something or know of someone who might?

We will have a tired Hilux for sale soon. Good chassis, reliable engine and gear box and blue. I have no doubt it will require TLC for next MOT it always does!!! Not a straight panel on it but it is/has been a work horse. Its in Cumbria. If your not shy of welding and generally fixing things it might suit you. Interested?

Thanks for the reply David, few questions...what age & mileage? When's it's next MOT due? What work has it needed to get through last MOT's? Is it a single cab?

I've got a 1996 300tdi Hicap with 130k miles on it, no MOT or tax, is rough but solid. Sound bulkhead and body, good chassis (may need a patch on an outrigger for MOT). Engine is down on power - I suspect fuel pump and/or injectors could do with looking at. It fires up instantly and doesn't use oil or water though. It needs to go and will probably end up on ebay when I get a minute - make me an offer if interested.

Thanks for the reply but un-identified engine problems are a bit much for me, don't mind if it needs a bit of patching up but engine troubles are a different kettle of fish. Cheers anyways
