a pine blew over in someones back garden, over some of the house/shed etc. No scope for getting in a crane but there were two larger pines growing either side of where this one had stood so we got a real big bull rope, tied it off on one, down to the windblown(through a pulley), back up to the other, through another pulley and down to the truck which we tensioned the rope with. We had to be quite careful pulling up the slack with guys watching all 3 trees!

cool....nice when the trees are situated such that you can carry out plans like that

 

Definitly, especially when the boss quoted for a crane only to find out it wouldn't reach......and got the same price any way, in the same time frame,one very happy boss.
