Not a great image, but looks like a good candidate for Ascocoryne sarcoides. Fairly common on cut stumps of hardwoods...

Well thanks chaps, I think David has it with Silver leaf.

 

Odd how I've spent years looking at the Leafs of cherries and spotting silver leaf but never looked at the fruiting body.
