After my recent injury i decided to think a little bit more about dealing with storm damaged trees. The water level finally dropped to allow us access and this was one of the 4 trees we were sent in to deal with.

That is a real mess of a tree,

They're nasty aren't they! I also recently did one over a stream, had two stems and twisting was invisible until the bar got pinched, then again, then again.

 

and then again!

 

Luckily we had a big tele-handler with a grab to help.
