Lockjack clutch lifespan

Just curious to know how long your lockjack clutch/cams last?

I seem to be burning them out pretty quick.

A 12/13mm cam (on a Yale xtc fire rope with rope saver) lasts around 4/5 weeks.

I keep my rope as clean as possible and I don't hammer it when descending.

Can I get better results on a different rope?

Cheers

Alright mate. I know its not a lockjack, but my spiderjack eats clutches every 4/6 weeks. I reckon they'll be pretty much the same part. They don't tell you that on the label do they?!!

Jeanesy as in Dan Jeans?

I reckon they should bring out a titanium one :)

Bang on Sherlock :D

I thought you were a blakes hitch guy till you die!!! I was going to get an art positioner but got a bit put off with the way the clutches go on all their devices.

Titanium would be good, or diamond!
