Stolen Krpan 3.5 E winch

We returned to site near Malton North Yorks this morning to find our tractor minus the Krpan winch that was with it at the end of the previous day.

All we could see were some tyre tracks (likely BFG Mud Terrian) and a few scuff marks where it had been lifted into a pickup! It's weighs approx 300kg so I reckon it would take more than two men to lift to pickup bed height.

If anyone is offered a winch beware.

Thieving idiot morons who aren't intelligent enough to provide for themselves and have to steal a living from someone else!

Keep an eye on your gear and take extra precautions to secure it!

Also, given that the tractor had only been on site for a little over 24 hours and that they drove in (about a mile or so) through some neighbouring farmland right up to an unsused set of gates without any indication of not knowing where they were going makes me think they'd been watching us for quite a while, which given how remote the sites have been recently is something in itself.

They even took the knackered pitchforks, but left a nearly full calor gas bottle.

Police seem to think it'll already have been via the Docks at Hull but gut feeling is it's not very far away, especially as the tracks head in the opposite direction to Hull.

Cheers Guys!

Starting to think this could be a local/inside job as you can't see the site from the road and would need good local knowledge just to find us! Plus I can't imagine machinery thieves stealing to order chucking in a couple of pitch forks???
