Hello

Can anyone help, most of my work has been private, I have worked for some companies but now doing more commercial work, and now having to do risk assessment and method statement,

I have filled them out along time ago on my courses but not recently,

Does any one know where I can get the format from? Some one said you can pay for them on the net, or does any one have a lay out for both they would kindly email me?

If anyone can help it would be much appreciated cheers guys

Other than risk assessments is a method statement compulsory?

In my experience no one produces a Method Statement voluntarily, even though in some instances they can be very helpful. In a basic form a MS is a simple plan of work, "how, what, where, when"...simples.

As Rupert quite rightly says, nothing is compulsory, inferring legally required, it down to the contractual / client requirements.

Hope you find the website downloads helpful.

Good luck :thumbup1:

Just to say, if you are finding yourself moving more into the commercial arena and you're not sure about H&S management, risk assessments and method statements etc. we do a one day Risk Assessment for Commercial Arboriculture workshop which an active ARBTALK member described as "a workable solution."

Have a look here as an example but we do run them throughout the year at various venues so check out the AA website Risk Assessment for Commercial Arboriculture

Cheers fer now..:thumbup1:

Hello Jack88,

I've just completed our risk assessment here too - HSE website is great for the basics and explains it fairly simply with the 5 step process.

Some HSE Risk Assessment Examples

Template for Risk Assessments

If you can find your old ones, you can just update them to keep it simple, otherwise just search for example Tree Surgeon Risk Assessments - the one suggested is brilliant (click here for the tree surgeon examples of documents)
