What a top thread. i will endeavour to find an emormous oak that is in full health after being blown over in '87 i think the farmer said. It must be 5 foot diameter!!

 

 

 

One suggests a little more endeavour Tom !

 

 

Here's a fine old Sweet Chestnut, it's three (suckered) proginy are all 60 footers + at around 600 dbh at least.
