i prefere the buckingham capstan and as for rope have used the new england 16mm and double esterlon both good would use same rope for split tails for fastening capstan on till you get whoopies which are an expensive luxury and an 16mm isc pulley which needs a stronger rope to tie it on as the load is double at the pulley hope this makes sense

I'm not a fan of the new style ISC capstan/porta wrap, I don't know wether its just me but I've had a rope jump of it once, and find it gives to much friction because of its large diameter and shot peened finish (which does wear of in time).

I like to be able to have big bits run reliably and the older small ISC and new buck porty 3's have worked well for me.

Just my opinion.

Hi cordwood, I have taken some pic's but forgot to take a pic of the two lowering slings! There the thick blue type, one bigger than the other and rated at a couple of ton's I think.
