Ok thanks, I'm running 15" so want to try the 8 tooth to see how saw handles it, looks like I'll just need to change to standard spline. Will I need to put extra drive links into chain for an 8 tooth sprocket?

I run an 8 pin on mine .325 pitch and you don't need an extra driver .

Usually not - and I assume a 3/8"x8 will work fine with a 15" bar - it does on my MS361!

I will try it on my 560xpg with a 16" bar, and already have bought the standard 7-spline drum that is needed to do it.....

I've been looking for 8 tooth 3/8 sprocket small spline to save me changing rim too but not had any luck. Eddy T suggested niko but haven't been able to track one down.

Any suggestions or will I need to change to standard spline rim?

Thanks

Niko is sawtroll on here :) I said pm him. You can get a 3/8 on small spline with 7t, but as he has said, 8t requires the 562 clutch and worm gear

Clutch drum and worm gear, to be more exact.

and possibly 562 clutch side cover . I know they look the same but the are not . The bucking dawg mounting holes are wider apart than on the 560 . Maybe there is a reason for this .
