Yea if you want a low power, short bar, domestic quality saw for light work.

 

Nay if you need something bigger.

i have one of the older ones and i would say yay for a basic saw for light usage.

certainly the new ones are made in china:thumbdown: but if you go up to the next model which i think is the ms181 then it is made in germany which made give you some assurance

Good advice, I have the 181, & it has worked well for the year I have owned it, & with a muffler mod, ( couple of holes drilled), it cuts well for a basic saw.
