treehog harnesses

anybody out there use or have used the treehog/arbortec th5000 or th7000 harnesses?

Im looking for a harness but am on a budget ive seen these online from a couple of suppliers sub-200 quid.

I tried them both on earlier today. The 5000 offered a bit more freedom of movement as its got independent leg loops but cos the padding of the leg loops goes quite far up at the back it had a tendency to ride up my arse a bit when my weight was taken out of it and when i moved from legs bent/dynamic position to standing. The 7000 has a bosun like seat so was really comfy when my weight was in it but compromised a bit on freedom of movement.

Has anybody got any views on what theyre like when theyve been worn in a bit and what theyre like when youve been in one for hours??

Also any alternatives sub-200 quid??

Cheers fellas:001_smile::001_smile:

yeah ive used the butterfly and dragonfly. both similar to the th5000 and th7000. the komet harnesses do seem slightly more comfy and better for positioning.

They are also very tough, got the full 5 yrs out my dragonfly. Petzl sequoia is also in the price range, new model looks good.

Treehog harness is an ok harness but have found in certain positions it is dam uncomfortable I was hoping the bigger leg supports would be more comfortable sitting all weight in the harness no problem but you are right soon as ya stand it rides right up, I've also found that ya heat up in it considerably, if the leg loops were normal shape it'd be a cracking harness it's very hard wearing. As for the trusty weavers that thing is indestructible mine didn't last 10 but I was a nuisance for lowering of the side ds (naughty me)
