Get fed up with the small stuff, don't have the time or patience to finish them to a standard I'm happy with,chisels and the like.

Especially when the woods not great.So this was a bit half-arsed.

Love it as it is I think you have cracked it.

 

I have been carving owls quite detailed using chainsaw then chisel but just started doing them very basic as is your angel but sanded and varnished and I think it works.
