This is our new chainsaw mill. 2 stihl ms 880's mounted on a specially made cannon 8 foot bar. We bought this rig to do a very special job for one of our customers. We have got to cut 4x 3.5 inch discs off the end of a 6.5 feet across oak butt to be made into tablesimage.jpg.b9d7c2c0ffc1a3b698b91742f2b27669.jpg[/ATTACH]

Nice toy, would it not be wise to add an extra brace (or two) ?[/

We were thinking the same but it is very rigid even with just the one brace. We had a few practice cuts today on a smaller log and it performed vey well. Thanks for the advice though all greatly appreciated.

nice!!

looks like those logs will fall apart if you where to cut a 3.5" slice off?

Yes they will fall apart we are making pallets to slide the pieces in order on to after cutting. The very clever chap who is making them in to tables then fill all the cracks and splits with anything you like. I.e glass , bronze , copper even gold if you have the money.
