Tighten your nuts

I had a similar experience in my L200 I had had a flat tyre on the rear near side so put the spare on, only trouble was the spare was a steel rim and my normal ones are alloys so the nuts were a bit proud, still I torqued them up and set off intending to sort it out the next day as it was a sunday.

 

Picked my mate up as we were going shooting traveled about 6 miles BANG back end drops down and a wheel very much like mine went rolling of down the road :blushing:

 

All the wheel nuts let go about the same time as I got them all bar one within 50 yds of the occurrence needless to say we had a very steady drive to the shooting ground with frequent nut stops

Along with wheel nuts, check your jockey wheels are up and tight!

 

Ive seen a couple in the past having not been put up, doing about 60 on the motorway shatter and fly all over the place.. rubber going everywhere!
