My friend and I are nipping over to the Unsinn trailer factory later this month - I'm helping him get set up on importing them. I've been very happy with my 14ft 2.6t trailer - I've done well over 10k with it since May, dragging it about 3k last month (through the wettest month Scotland has had for 105 years) and the only thing that has gone wrong is a failed LED outrigger than filled with water. I suspect a micro crack from a gravel impact was to blame for that.

Anyway, check out Unsinn's range of trailers. My 14ft flatbed was £1100 cheaper than the equivalent Ifor. Regarding tippers, 3 sided tippers are pretty standard in Germany.

They look good. I'd really like to try out a turntable trailer. I am sure they take some getting use to but can see the advantages. Reversing them must be hard skill to master.

I love the idea of a 3.5t turntable tipper. Very versatile.

Also (and not from Unsinn, but Agados) I think this is a wonderful trailer:

Zweiseitenkipper Agados Schweizer 3500kg an-&abkippbar Tridem top

I'd probably lose the cage sides though as it's large enough without them. Either way, it serves the purpose as flatbed, tipper and machine transporter.

Don't think so on the English front.

Just for reference, my friend will be importing the WEB series of Unsinn trailers shortly. We're keeping it simple and not doing customised trailers at this time. I've had the WEB28 since May, put about 12000 miles onto it and it's been fantastic. Great trailer.

Hello, just researching buying a new tipping trailer, got it down to either a Bryan James 12' or a Graham Edwards 12'...I have owned several Ifor Williams in the past both flatbed & tipper, my experience was that the earlier trailers made by old man Ifor were great, the new ones really not as well built, tow badly & try ringing their customer service that was a joke!...really rude & un-cooperative. I was glad to of sold it & got a really good price for the trailer...

I currently own a GE flatbed tri-axle which is without a doubt the best trailer I have ever owned, tows like a dream though axles do bend easily...managed to right off all three whilst avoiding a sodding bus by clipping a kerb at 25mph, to be fair the trailer was carrying alot of york stone at the time.

Owned a bespoke tipper made by Warwick, heavy & horrid to tow...very well built though, they make nice looking tractor trailers & were a nice firm to do business with.

What is the general opinion on Bryan James Tippers as never towed one of their tipping trailers, the tri axles look good . Do the tippers tow as well as the GE Tipper?

I have a ifor 3017 with caged sides. Had it about 6 months now and use it 3-4 days a week. I've been very pleased with it. It carries 1-2 tons most of the time. Sits happily at 50mph behind a pickup or transit. I bought it specifically as it was the same width as our L200's and for urban work having the trailer the same as the vehicle is a help. No issues with build quality so far. I've get about 40 full tips without having to charge the battery.

My local dealer was very good but Ifor were a bit of pain when ordering. I wanted the solid sides as standard but after 6 weeks wait there was no light at the end of the tunnel so had to go with the mesh ones. Also took 4 more weeks to get the light protectors to me.
