Check out this nice beech I have just bought to mill up next week. It weighs over 3 t

Am I right in thinking Beech is good for internal work, as I recall School desks being made of Beech.

And cheap chairs, made from Beech stained up to look like more exotic hardwood.

But unsuitable for external or weather exposed use.

Hazard a guess?, easily worked and finishes well through the planer.

We manage to sell quite a lot of it to be honest. The last one we cut in to big block benches 4ft x 20"x20" put some little chicks for feet and routered them up nice. They were going to a horse stables in Tipperary
