Tipper advice

Going to be building a hillux tipper soon. The lifting body is being built by a company and will have the report with it. So just need to build the box and fit it all.

It's cheaper than paying for a company to do it all. And with the tools and space is fairly straight forward.

Gonna have to call BS on that, my "slightly modified" Discovery is a tipper that I built myself and NFU insure that.

I can only speak as I find. NFU refused insurance unless it was proffessionaly built. If anyone wants to ring the Basingstoke office to check crack on.

NFu will only insure a tipper if it was fitted by manufacturer or proper body builder. Boulter tippers In Tadley did ours came with a serial no as well.

Could be interesting because I am in the process of building a flatbed on my 130, if they ask for a report they can pay for and arrange it or I take all the business elsewhere.

But when I told them about the 110 beng rebuilt into a 3500kg 130 all they said was "could I just swnd in a copy of the first MOT"

So would be suprised if they did want a report

Oh sound job- could I be cheeky and ask what company are doing the lifting body as that sounds like a plan. I'm with Ashbourne (Derbyshire) NFU and all they said was i would need a report
