Far too heavy for linkage, weighed about 6 ton! It has pallet slots in the middle for a telehandler. The linkage is so it doesnt flip when the PTO is driving it. Needs about 140HP.

60 ton, biggest in the UK.

 

I have lots more pictures of various big splitters we have supplied, but I'm not sure the OP is looking for anything quite that large!

 

What length will it split?

What hp is the engine? Will it lose a bit of power not being run off the pto?

 

It probably won't be as fast as our current splitter but it would do a good job and not struggle on as many pieces.

 

Hp will be 13hp I think.

That was a 3m long split. Thats about the longest we do, any more than that and they are difficult to transport.

HI JIM the 6ton weight of splitter better off on wheels mate then tow it there are tractor here in somerset that will take 6ton plus on link arm but would not like to carry that splitter around thanks jon just too wide jon :thumbup:

Yep you're right. Ideally something smaller probably petrol, fast, enough power so that it splits knotted bits 24" long. Comfortable to work at and will last a few years.
