I wouldn't use anything else. Very hard wearing, lot's of support ble bla bla...........In my opinion it should be far more expensive than the 'trendy' harnesses, if not only for the craftsmanship which must go into their making.

 

Get one ......you will not regret it.

I like mine.

 

I mostly do takedowns and I find it excellent for that.Also there isn't much to absorb water,thats a big plus to me here.

I have been snagged a few times by the clips that are attached on each side.One day I will get around to cutting them off.

 

I will one day also rivet on some buckles so the braces off my old Komet will plug into them.A big saw drags the harness down for me.

Like alot of the guys I agree that the weaver harness is robust and definately suits the bigger build. I'm a smaller build 32" waist! and I found the Petzl Sequoia and the Skylotec harness to be comfortable because of the support and the way you can modify them to suit the climber, but like what alot of the customers say that come into the Shop. It depends what type of work you are doing. You don't want thin leg straps on a harness for example if your doing powerline work.

i climbed in a weavers for just over 4 years they are truly indestructible ive kept it for sentimentality but i changed to petzl sequoia last year and doubt il change but i dont think itl last as long as the weavers. just make sure you try others before goin for a weavers.

I only have a 30" waist.However my pockets are usually stuffed with cash so that stops the Weaver from falling down.

My first harness was a weaver and I'm still using it! I've had it 9 years it's LOLER'D, and indestructable. I'd like a fancy new harness but can't see the point in changing for something I don't know when the one I've got works fine is comfy ect.. and I ain't a big fella, my waist has raised slightly from 30 to 32 in the past 9 years, still comfy!
