Dear all, Happy New Year! (bit early I know)

Problem: I was donated a bundle of parts from what appears to be a Husky 365/365sp/372

However, the crankcases look brand new and have no model badge. Before deciding what to do with them I need to know whether they're bog stock 365 or 365sp/372 as this will dictate what top end goes on them.

How will I find out?

Any bright ideas?

Cheers

All have the same mounts, just the cylinder/piston and carb that differs

i thought the 365 and 372 were the same, only the 362 was different.. thinking about it early 365's possibly shared the 371 bottom end.

i'd be happy putting a 372 top end on any of them.. just bear in mind the 362 has the smaller bar mount

362 had small bar mounts, but is effectively the same saw, I'm after a 362 incidentally, if anyone has one going cheap

Thanks guys. I was led to believe that the 365sp and 372 shared the same crankcase while the 365 was slightly different. Obviously not the case.

While I'm about it, has anyone got a link to a schematic for the 365?

Go on the husqvarna website and search the manuals

Without looking the only possible thing which maybe different but marginal would be the early 365 didn't have an adjustable oil pump whereas the special did. In which case there maybe a slight difference having the screwdriver access point to adjust the oil pump? That's the only area I would check difference anyway.

Yup, been on there. No dice. What I'm after are the various exploded views with parts nos.

Any pointers?
