Hi guys, been climbing a few years now and always got by with a blakes!! It's quick to set up, and easy to use.

Well now I've been thinking maybe I need a change;) any advice on what to start out with would be great:)

Most ppl use the rope wrench or the hitch hiker. A foot asscender. Normally a hand asscender with afoot loop to make a rope walker system. A few use the unicender. Is like most things climbing related....down to personal choice and not everybody likes the same.

Start with the Rope Wrench for the main reasons its the cheapest and the only one with a current CE mark. If you have a pulley and a bit of cord your nearly there, a foot ascender and stiff tether as per manufacturers spec.

 

tie a short slig and crab into a chest loop for added ease of climb and have fun.
