I'm hopefully going to start my level 4 in Sep and was wondering if anyone could give me a heads up on reading materials,would like to get a bit of a head start over the next few months,as arb books can be quite expensive.cheers.

 

Hi there.Im doing my level four at the moment.David is right about Peter Thomas..great book.I would reccomend Matthecks VTA field guide,his stupsi and pauli the bear books,Lonsdales principle of tree hazard assessment and Management,Strouts and Winter,Hendersons dictionary of Biological terms,Shigos modern Arb,up by roots by James urban,Biology of plants(Raven,evern and eichort),Matthecks manual of wood decay in trees,Woodland management by chris starr....that should provide a good base to begin with i would have thought...

Thoroughly enjoying my attempt at the course so far.:thumbup:
