Kiwi firewood

Whilst travelling we stopped last week at this firewood merchants, was right on the side of the road so couldnt miss it!

 

The owner was a sound chap, and came over and chatted with me for quite a while. It was funny how similar pros and cons of running a firewood business exist in both countrys. I was very impressed with his set up and professionalism. He does around 2000 cube plus another 1600 cube processing a year. I was very impressed by his roadside sign, stating what timber he had and what level on dryness it was.

There are more firewood merchants guys who just do wood here than the uk I reckon but ranging with the professionalism there's a lot of guys who price tree work against us who do it Purely for the wood and they leave sites in some shocking states that generally we clear up or they don't have the knowledge to do the work and get us in!
