They are rated at 4" as far as im lead to believe. You will have to feed it in slowly so that it dosent stall the engine seeing as there is no stress control on the machine, your arm is the stress control! Tidy lookin machine by the way.....

That's about what I thought 4" thanks for your reply and sorry for derailing your thread , it certainly does work well for a little chipper and just about big enough for my needs at the min, good luck with yours and I hope you get your ignition sorted

If they follow standard wiring red will be batt (permanent live), blue will be start which is the momentary wire to the solenoid on the starter(should be blue at solenoid as well), white will be ign and black will be acc (switched ignition).

Thanks mate, I just got home from working on it and its sorted! Think the red one was the live from the solinoid, the black one went to the negative on the solinoid, the blue went to the coil and the white was the kill that went to the acc on the switch! It works now so im a happy bunny! :)
