It had huge cracks like this all the way up several of its multiple stems.

I would not say that is defiantly the result of BC, but BC can cause that sort of damage, but it may have recovered from the BC, it looks to be compartmentalising the damage.

I would say that was a result of leaf minor a few years back, the tree has been weekend by the loss of all it's leaves in high summer and bang,Its gets attacked from pathogens and leads to a weak tree.

 

Edit, the tree has previous damage, and this would not be from Leaf minor.

The cracks were pretty impressive throughout the tree, unfortunately my phone died so couldn't get any more photos.

 

Looked like one of the limbs had a fracture in it too.

 

 

Do you think it would be worth taking it down before it gets worse and more expensive/dangerous to remove?
