They are nice machines but I got to disagree with the control buttons they are in a terrible (and dangerous) place imo, should be at the side as well.

 

buttons shouldn't make you have to lean over there IMO should be on the side

i was looking at a large timberwolf pos 10 or 12in in a hire place it had the same buttons but had two sets one on each side

 

you'd think in that case the same could be done

I suppose it must be down to cost since its not for user friendliness or user comfort/ease/production etc.

 

 

Tbh I am surprised the HSE let them get away with it(or whoever controls these things)

that would be because of the size of the machine. you can comfortably reach the buttons from oine position on the smaller machines, but you'd struggle on a machine with a larger hopper.

 

they are all different and its what you get used to at the end of the day

I remember hiring this machines really big brother (12") from orange plant. Apparently they only made a handful of these 12" tracked beasts. Even that had the controls above the hopper but it also had the bar round the bottom.
