nope, i have not.

im not too fussed about emailing them tbh, apart from the bar the saw is fine.

when the chain is dead i will get another chain and a longer bar..

 

i looked in the tank this morning and the filter pickup is back to its floating postion

 

im gonna have to mod this...after i have used what is in the tank..i will try pulling the tube out from the tank a little, thanks eddy

Don't get bigger than 14" unless you're modding the saw

Just get a simple fuel filter, so long as the pipe is the same swap it out. Use a weighted one and whatever position the saw is in the filter will be at the bottom on the fuel.

so getting a 16" bar is a bad idea? it says it can run up to 16" in the manual.

is it because it is 36cc??

 

Rich, i think shortening the fuel line length in the tank should fix it..

It says a lot of saws can run big bars in the manuals, but having too large a bar seriously affects performance, these are little saws and don't have the power to pull a bigger bar as efficiently

Probably best to replace the pickup pipe with some softer stuff really, (and a weighted filter for good measure). Shortening it may not allow it to flop around in the tank properly either and it may run out of fuel whilst on its side.

i pulled the pipe out the tank about 5-7mm and that seems to have done the trick, the pipe was curling up.
