The lever is the oil pump setting (no fiddly little screws underneath on this one).

Starting - choke on, starting switch on, decompression on if you feel so inclined (I never notice much difference). Grasp firmly and pull like you mean it. They don't have the same style of magnets as modern saws, so most of the kick is from the ignition system rather than the compression. Take it tentantively and it will rip the starter out of your hands so it's best to just go for it. This also means it's a 'proper' foot through the back handle, hand on the front hand grip start - no drop starting here!

As per normal, takes a few pulls to get some fuel through and then it will either 'cough', in which case choke off and try again, or it will actually start and run, in which case choke off when it starts to stumble a bit, which gives you a few seconds usually.

Why not drop start? I did whilst my 090 was just a contra, and I do with the 051, tbh I find it preserves the starter ring that little bit longer. Unless you've got a longer bar, then don't!

And as wisecobandit said, you need a stubby combi wrench to get the plug off, and a special tool to get the clutch off, trust me, belting it with a hammer and screwdriver doesn't work! Plus for £3 it's no skin off your nose.

Bear with me, I will look them up. Ive definetly bought the in tank pipe recently so available and not expensive. The other pipe tho? Are you talking the fuel feed which connects to the aforementioned pipe via the white elbow or are you talking the impulse? Both are the same pipe which again is cheap as chips and bought per mtr for a few quid.

In the meantime heres summit to watch- old school baby lol
