im working in oz at the min and finding im needing to do footlocking quite alot, cant get my head around doing it with a v.t, any help/videos would be greatly appreciated

if you are just talking about Ddrt then theres a small bit of footlocking using this method in my following vid, its not too clear though.

Have you tried just running a loop around your right foot? Running the loop from the inside of your foot, underneath, over the top then running the tail down on the inside. Does that make sense?

 

If you do it right twisting your foot outwards grabs the rope and inwards releases it. Works almost as well as a pantin on DdRT.

Is the footlocking you're doing there generally pulling the slack through your climbing system, rather than helping you ascend? Or is it just the way I'm looking at it?

i find that way is just painfull, really slow and tireing. did i the other day that way and it about killed me doing 6ft!!
