Fungi Id suggestions

Hi all,

 

Came across this at the base of a very large mature holm oak yesterday. Struggling to pin point it precisely.

 

Crown in what appears to be good health, very little dead wood. Slight decay on inside of one stem above the bracket.

 

Any suggestions very much appreciated!

i would suggest Inonotus Dryadeus myself.At differing stages of decomposition.

Looks like Rigidopurus ulmarius to me.

I do'nt ever recall seeing Rigi on holme oak,but that is not to say its not unheard of..anyone?..but this is definitely Inonotus Dryadeus...Im as sure as I can be without seeing it in the flesh.

For my tuppence worth, it's definitely Inonotus dryadeus.

Looks like Rigidopurus ulmarius to me.

 

the older darkened fruit bodies should have told otherwise Jesse:thumbup1:

 

and in my personal experience ive not found rigidoporus on oak but have perenniporia on three separate occasions once on sessile 2x on robur
