Soft shackle

Recommended Posts

thats one a friend of mine spliced up haha no chance with the pinto I'm afraid , we were talking about using it for big wood instead of tying a bowline under the half hitch .

i think there is even a way to have one directly spliced onto the end of the rigging line , but he's going to trial it and see how it goes .

at the moment I'm using steel beiners for connectors and its not ideal , the pintos won't last as long and i can see lots of little things that annoy me about using the combo even if they are for redirects.

did u splice up your own mog ?

nar bro i got one from freeworker at Euro's in Munich. but wouldnt it defeated the point if you put a Half hitch in there aswell? bineers are sweet unless you doing big snatching, just wrap rope round wood twice and 70kn steelies.

what you mean about pintos?

ideally id like to set them up with whoopies but once there spliced on there , thats it .

i think getting a small strong soft shackle and using it with the spacer to connect it to slings means i can still use them for other things .

krabs are quicker but a workmate had one smash onto a stem spine first and fail, he was pushing his luck on it in all honesty but it still could have been worse.
