Chain break on a husky 550xp

Make sure the mechanism is in the 'chainbrake on'position first.

 

Insert the nylon spigot into the spring on the mechanism end.

 

On the other end insert a flat screwdriver, one with a slightly tapered shank so that it wedges into the spring. Then push it in until totally above the trough and push it down into place.

 

Hold it down whilst the cover is put on.

 

Then struggle to release the brake.
