Do boom hoses on various machines regularly, worst one was a CAT 330, never had to split a boom yet,but I've only got small hands. The clamps which hold the hoses in place are the worst part,or if the pipes get tangled around each other, have had to pull them out with the van before. manitou tend to use siamese pipes,(two pipes are joined together)

I've done a few JCB's & as said getting to the clamps are a nightmare, I use to tie the new pipe to the old one & pull them through. Sometimes quicker to remove the inner boom for all the struggling.

Going to take the boom out friday (weather permitting) and go from there, apparently the pipes are Siamese and not sure if hydraquip can make them as there £327 plus vat and delivery from dealer!
