Hi guys,

I've made a MK1 chip box for the back of my double cab Ford Ranger and think its a bit small.

I made it out of wood as a pattern so I could adapt it easily, and I want to make it bigger!

I'm fairly sure the payload is about 1ton, so was hoping some of you already have one or know of one's dimensions that would fit around 1ton into.

Before anyone starts, I know every tree is different etc etc etc, i'm just after a rough estimate of dimensions.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I work on an average density of 350kg per cubic metre for fresh chip.

Thanks Peter, that's great info. I'll knock up MK2 on that basis and go from there.
