Does anybody else have the joyful pleasure of clearing up fly tips? I work for a LA and recently were getting more and more! I'm on a 2 hour response call out contract and I'm sick of being dragged out of bed for bloody fly tips and scarily the locations are getting more and more dangerous we've had 3 full cut and stacked transits tip their load on lane one of the A6 in the last few months! Today I had 3 tonne of conifer and privet tipped in a high st slap bang outside the church

As somebody mentioned the other day Caravan Utilizing Nomadic Travellers used to do it for environmental health nappies the lot.

Amazing how they get away with no waste carriers licence etc.

I hate to see flytipping, but its mostly builder waste i see dumped where i walk my dog on downland. The local authority dont seem that quick on clearing it up when reported.I did score an 1800 watt makita router once that just needed a new flex though.

You'd get done/arrested if you got caught doing that! Bloody stupid isn't it!

Our call outs are to the flytips that are bang in the middle of carriage ways and junctions etc it's not localised to a particular area it's county wide for me we did get called too a massive safe once...... Picked it up with the grab and delivered it to the local bobby shop as it was stolen in a robbery the week before

Must be an earner though mate, being on call?

Yeah it's a major money maker! Couldn't afford to live without it £100 a week standby, company vehicle so no fuel bills and minimum 2 hour per call plus I get paid traveling time
