Hi all off to the new forest tomorrow to a weeks holiday. Any recommendations on trips out, (arb or woodcraft related).Stating in the fordingbridge area at sandy balls. Went last year and loved the place mainly the woods and the pubs. Thanks mark.

Ah!!!! Sandy balls about 20 mins up the road from me!!!

Take a look a Rhinefield arboretum, great redwoods!!!! or Knightwood Oak located on the opposite side of the a35 to Rhinefield................and if all else fails theres always The Red Shoot, High Corner inn, or Alice lisle.

Moors Valley country park is a pretty good place to take the family. Poor soils so only Scots Pines of any great size but beautiful Oak beamed buildings, playpark, lake etc. Just passed Ringwood toward Bournemouth on the A35 then head right toward Three Legged Cross at the roundabout signed A338 (Bournemouth). Just up there, couple miles on the right. Enjoy...ya grockle!
