How old is trailer? I'd be more interested in more ceiling insulation and better windows/secondary glazing.

If you want to insulate floor there's many ways to tackle it. Do you want to lift old floor or insulate over top of it. Some really good multifoil type carpet underlays available now.

A radical idea would be spray foam on underside, depending how your services are running.

Fitting a burner is easy. You can get any special bits you need from windy smithy.

It's worth thinking about the thermal mass in the van and trying to increase it with something like black mountain thermal flex insulation.

Or to be super efficient what about a rocket stove mass heater.

Would be a good option if you could increase floor strength a little.

Stoves like this are super efficient use little wood and tackle the problems in caravans of little thermal mass. They can be constructed in wooden boxes so they are removeable if need be.

Somebasic info can be found here

rocket stove mass heater

Try googling ernie and erica wisner, They know more about fires and efficient space heating with rocket stoves than you would ever guess
