have a large pipe on my ground and they do not like me doing anything near it as such we used 360 without teeth. and with one of there guys on site whislt doing it. get hold of them and ask for there field engineer to come out and work out best way to clear it. but 360 should pull them out but with extreme care if that went up you would not know what happened or find whats left of you. take care.

Have already contacted them and where not allowed to do anything until pipeline has been pegged out and there field engineer in attendance. My concern is the cover depth stated on their map is far more than what I remember as a kid when the pipe was buried. Particularly worried as the pipe is now over 40 years old so what condition is it likely to be in.

but its that gas engineer who is the one who knows. you hope so you know how far you can go down

Do you know the pipe diameter?

Big enough to crawl through as a kid. Quite scary the dog leg section as you could not see light at the end of the tunnel. Probably 3 foot diameter with concrete outer protection layer. It was the first North Sea high pressure pipeline to go through that part of the country. Why on earth they diverted it through the centre of the village I will never understand.

Probably less distance for them to walk to the pub.
