My new VT

In work last Thursday and left a few of the guys to fell some pegs when I was away for a couple of hours. Long story short my climbing rope (13mm arbormaster) got shock loaded some how and my boss have me this new rope.

Think it's 11mm fire line and I'm using my old b-line on it, just wondering if anyone climbs on similar?? As the rope and friction cord are nearly the same diameter will it cause any problems?? I was always told with a VT you need different diameters.
