Somerset woodland work. Big oaks. Fellers wanted.

Recommended Posts

Hi.

I am looking for someone to help me felling and extract some large trees over the winter. My woods are in Somerset, and access is ok, but not brilliant. Some trees on the flatter ground, but some on steep clay slope, so would be needing reasonable size tractor/winch i guess?

There is some lovely timber in there, and it would need to be done carefully to protect the ground flora as much as poss.

I am in the process of getting a felling licence, so that should be all legal.

Anyone who wants to get in touch, then you can call on 07957567374.

I am looking for someone with the right experience, equipment and attitude for this job. Please bear this in mind before calling. Some of these trees are big and valuable, so they deserve skills!

Many thanks

Francis

Hi

I'd be interested. Little late to ring i feel but i thought I'd put in a note of interest. Do a lot of big hardwood felling. Put a few pictures up just to show. Don't have any big kit but we could source that locally?

How many trees and what sort of DBH and height we talking.

The pics are Sweet Chestnut and Beech but done a lot of Oak too.

I dont know i was just guessing? eddy.

 I know, one mans big is another's mid sized tbh, many a 'big' tree have I been called out to, to find its under 12" dia at ground, and just level with the house guttering, others have been monsters! But if the OP gives a date for the work, size of trees and where abouts in Somerset, I'd be very interested
