Running a log splitter from Timberwolf

I know it has been done:

Does anyone know the flow rate and pressure a TW 190 should be able to produce. Our tractor that we currently use is 50l per min and 180bar. But using a 160hp tractor to run the splitter seems excessive and would like to split without the tractor..

The powerpacks all seem to be only 30l per min and would presumably not have the flow and be slow...

The set up I did for ED works well but don't be so quick to dismiss the power pack option they have plenty of ummmph. Most are petrol but diesel ones are out there.

30l/min isn't shabby your TW is only turning a pair of low speed high torque motors and might not even have 30l about

The more important question is what are the splitters requirements?

What are the best options on power packs? I'm in middle of building a splitter with a smallish ram, are the jcb beavers up to the job? Cheers

As I said before, it all depends on the ram, it will work whatever but flow equals speed.

I have seen quite a few splitters on beaver power packs and none that were struggling.

No probs, errrrrrrrr Beaver, you do know there is no such thing as red petrol?:laugh1:

Gonna have it so can run off Bedford auxiliary s (red diesel) and just have power pack for occasional use,so should be able to suck up the petrol cost( I may regret saying this!!)

A mate of mine runs one, he doesn't gripe about the cost and he is from Yorkshire:laugh1:
