i i think i was at that museum as a kid in 1981, i remember a massive slice of tree with dates on it, and we also went to one with 2 massive guns outside, i didnt want to go in because i saw my first ever chipper working in the park beside it(i was 6)lol

That would be the Imperial War Museum in Lambeth Stevie.

You missed a treat, if you're ever back in the neighbourhood with your younguns, make sure you go in next time you uncultured swine :001_tongue:

mixed emotions...The whole idea of it is fantastic imo, and to get the chance to be the takedown team in this project must have been awesome.

If I'm brutally honest I don't think the final result is the spectacle I was expecting, which is a shame.

a brilliant project all round, anything like this which will inspire even a handful of young, impressional minds, on the importance and majesty of trees is so very worthwhile.

good on you Will and your team for your crucial part in this. i'll be sure to head there soon. ditto about the snazzy balistics! black is so last year!

Send my regards to Matt, I saw him dodging work in the video (all he ever did was eat on my work sites!).

Let us know if you have anything else like this in the pipeline as I'd love to get the college involved.

Matt is now the hardest working man in Wiltshire !!:001_tongue:

I don't think we will ever get another project like that to get involved with but we always have interesting jobs on. If you wanted to form some links with the college I am sure John would be interested.

SBTC I also expected a slightly different final piece but you have to appreciate the time frame they had to complete the project. The finish on the final piece is absolutely incredible. I hope the piece will be enjoyed by many. The artists did the tree proud.

Mistert I have ditched the dubious balistics for some more stylish ones now.:001_tongue:

aye, you're right of course...I was just expecting to be blown away by it as the concept is great. It would cool if it was a bit more of a personal experience rather than it being high up on a white ceiling imo, maybe even just on the floor so the kids can scooch down and have a good look at it in detail. That was my main line of thinking...As it is on that broken up ceiling it looks like an unfinished jigsaw. Proof is in the pudding though eh, will have to go and see it
