Just bought an ipad 3 off my mate who is off to uni. Are they any good? Am I likely to use it? I don't really think I need one but it was a good idea at the time. I think its white, apart from that I have no idea :)

Depending on your present need for the Technology you should be fine. Invest in one of the magnetic flap over covers for the scree to protect from scratching

A wireless router for connecting to the internet is also a nice thing to have in place with your device. I use my Girlfriends all the time and find it very easy to use, travel with. Enjoy:thumbup1:

They are great! One thing you could use it for work wise is a portfolio of work. Just load it up with images of past jobs and when you pop round to do quotes just show off your handy work.

There are tons of good apps too! easy-lift guy is right though without internet it's a bit limited!

Use mine all the time, I have some customers that send work daily by email, whilst we are out and about, the job sheets come though as a PDF, we just fill them in and send them back as soon as completed.

We use the notes app for... Well notes!! And can book work into the calendar there and then, all the calendars are linked to the office and each other?

No more bits of paper floating around! :)

Hi

It all depends what you want to use it for but if you dont then your wife/girlfriend or kids will soon start.

The iWork app with Pages, Numbers & Keynote are the equivalent of Word, Excel & Powerpoint & open all types of MS extensions including those .docx files as a lot of Word users dont set the default file format to .doc (annoying if you dont have the latest version of Office & have to download the viewer)
