I'm sorry, but do I understand you correctly?

You place a value on a persons well being based on their command of the English language?

No, not really, but these tend to be the type of folk who work to no standard, use unsafe working practices, are unqualified, uninsured. It doesnt worry them, so i wont lose any sleep over it.

Cos there are no Anglo- Saxon English people who do this?

What really Grind my gears, is that you probably won't get a ban for your bigotry.

I, on the other hand, would almost certainly get one for pointing out out that you are a racist.

Ah well, No worries, I'm off to France this week. When my family arrived here we didn't speak much English, but the fact was if we hadn't escaped from Brittany when we did, the the Nazi's would almost certainly have tortured and killed my Grandfather and his family. I would never have been born, and you would have been pleased, because our English wasn't good.

By the way, 6 members of my family where killed by the Germans because they fought for the resistance during the war.

Still, it don't matter, none of them spoke English, and they had no regard whatsoever for health and safety.

Call me a racist if it makes you feel better Bren, but theres a lot of instances of people from abroad coming here and setting themselves up doing jobs with no regard for rules and regulations.Doing dangerous work, driving with no license. It permiates into all industries. If i was to set up abroad, first step would be to learn the language.Second would be to learn the rules and get trained to the local standard.

It's not a question of it making me feel better.

It makes me feel a lot worse.

The fact is, there are as many native cowboys out there as there are foreign born ones.

Some of us just seem to be blinkered to the idea though.
