Do you know if it will work with Hawthorn, layer them rather than Lay them??

 

I think it will, Dean. When I lay hedges, I often lay a stem into a hole I've dug, to fill a gap. I cut a bit of bark off where it touches the ground and back fill the hole. I don't often get to check whether it worked or not, but I've come across branches that have touched the ground and struck out roots where they touch the soil.

There`s a considerable amount for me to do on the Hazel in a couple of woods i have access too. But whilst the Hinds are still in season i`m afraid i just cant touch the two venue`s.

At the end of this Month i think it would cause too much disturbance to the nesting birds so it looks like September. A month into the stag season :001_tt1:
