Picking a splitter

Looking to buy a splitter budget of £1000 ish any help. I've had a hyrack in the past and it was bombproof and will split anything.not sure about anything hydraulic just need to here from a few people to see what you think.

I'm not sure on size in tons as I've never used one does it really make that much difference .I must admit I like the look of somthing towable and self driven.

I have seen something towable on ebay for around the £1000 mark just not sure if this type of splitter will be slow.

Hi James thanks for the heads up on your splitter is the screw head higher from the bed than the smaller version .

Hi just had quick look the screw tip looks about 3 inches above the bed plate

Not sure whether it differs from the smaller model any more questions please give me a shout thanks James
