This may be really really stupid.

BUT.... If you don't have a kiln could you just use your oven?

I suppose there is a profound reason why not I just don't no it!

Although I just put a block of wood in the oven and it has sweated outrageously

Hmm lots of ideas to try

Weigh the wood microwave it for 10 mins let it cool keep doing this till the weight has reduced by 40 % .

Do wear gloves when your doing this and dont put it on work surface or it will burn it.
